Jeff Zarling is president and founder of DAWA Solutions Group, a professional services firm located in Williston, providing marketing, communication, and event management solutions.
Mr. Zarling offers a knowledgeable and diverse perspective having worked with over 100 business owners and community leaders in western North Dakota since 2002. He has assisted company and community leaders in strategic planning, marketing and communications, and operations solution development.
As producer of the Bakken Investor Conference, the Bakken Housing Summit, and the Bakken Oil Product & Service Show, he and the team at DAWA have been intimately involved in the business development activities surrounding the emerging energy and real estate markets in western North Dakota.
Mr. Zarling is an investor in and serves on the board of Mainstream Investors, LLC., a non-operating oil and gas company that participates in oil and gas drilling and production activity in the Williston Basin.
He has served as president of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce and the Williston Area Builders Association. He has also served as a board member for the Williston Basin Chapter of the API, the Mercy Medical Foundation and the Williston Economic Development Foundation.
Jeff moved to North Dakota in the sixth grade, graduated from Minot High School. He spent twelve years in Minneapolis completing school and working in Information Technology Consulting. He started DAWA Solutions Group in 1999 and moved it to Williston, North Dakota in 2002 so he and his wife, Beth, could raise their children near family. His daughter, Abby, is attending Minot State University and his son, Josh, is a senior at Williston Trinity Christian School.
Brent Bogar is the founder and president of Jadestone Consulting located in Bismarck, ND. Jadestone provides strategic management and technology consulting to a range of clients, and assists with developing plans to move organizations forward by maximizing the potential of the people and systems in place. He also works with communities and other groups to provide research, analysis and communication strategies to support their goals and objectives.
He served on the Williston City Commission from 2007 to 3013, managing the portfolio of building, planning, zoning, water, sewer and airport as well as serving on the Williams County planning commission. Brent’s time on the commission was accentuated by the rapid growth experienced starting in 2008 due to the influx of oil development. He worked with city staff, commissioners, community stakeholders, developers, and citizens on issues of housing, redevelopment, new developments and long range planning.
Brent was involved with projects such as the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Renaissance Zone, Downtown Redevelopment and Unified Development Code, Airport Master Plan and relocation, Western Area Water Supply Authority and others. Brent has also worked on behalf of the NDAOGPC to provide communications, outreach and research by working with the membership and legislators to find solutions to issues of funding, infrastructure and planning.
Brent is a Montana native, was born in Billings and graduated from high school in Wolf Point. Brent graduated from Williston State College with honors and from North Dakota State University with a bachelors in communications. He currently resides in Bismarck with his wife, Kris, and daughter Hope Zhen.
